Welcome

Welcome to the current home of the Evangelical Mission Network's home on the web!
This site is your home for information and the exchange of ideas about the work of the EMN as a reform group within the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
If your search engine has brought you to this page please delete everthing to the right of the ".com" in your address bar and press "enter". That will bring you to our current page.
We hope you will visit often!

Praise God! We have a home for our concerns, hopes, prayers and action in support of Biblical renewal. Thanks Dave!

I would hope that we would have a way to share the load in providing content for reaction from members.

A blog comes to life by frequent messages and entries that invite a response. I would suggest that if you have an entry, a question, a concern or an opportunity that you send it to Dave so he can enter it for comment.

I also trust that we can put a major focus on what we are for, not just what we are against. I've enjoyed our meetings at Synod and hope to actively participate.

We have a blog for our church at http://www.footprintsoffaith.org and would hope we could create links to various churches in the network.

My question: If you had to define what we are for in one paragraph, how would you define our network's purpose?

How's our purpose statement?
"The purpose of the Evangelical Mission Network (EMN) of the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is to provide an organization and means of expression for the members of our synod who are biblical, missional, and generally moderate to conservative on the theological spectrum, and who are Evangelical and Protestant on the Lutheran spectrum."
Is there material in the sidebars that anyone feels should be edited to make our site more positive?

Your opening picture is spectacular.
Would appreciate the bulk of your newsletter in wider columns so it does not take as much paper to copy it. Am waiting for brochures and other material from you. May God bless your work in His Name.

Will greet Pastor Eric Burtness from you.

The software sets the margins for this site. Perhaps someday we'll have a site where we can be more adaptable. I'll put some brochures in the mail for you tomorrow.

I'm less than enamoured with our churchwide assembly this past month. Wrestling with what to do from my end. How does one lead a congregation through this? Where's the conversation transpiring on this issue?
